Hello everyone,
I'm going to tell you a little bit about our experiences here in Malta.
We all had a very exciting week, last wednesday we all had to go to our workplaces.
We got to know our new bosses and they told us what they expected from us.
This monday I was in a bus accident, you wouldn't be suprised if you knew how the people drive in Malta.
The bumper of the bus was lying on the other car, there were no people who got injured luckily.
I'm very fortuned with my workplacement in the Corinthia in Attard, the people are very nice to me and I have to do a lot of work.
Every morning I have to get up at 6 o'clock to arrive at the hotel at 8 o'clock, but it doesn't bother me anymore.
This is because i'm getting used to the environment, and also to the people who work there.
They even asked me if it would be possible to come in the summer vacation to work in the hotel, this would be for 2 months.
I'm very glad that I get this kind of opportunities.
At the moment I'm working on a fundraiser for children who have cancer, this is organised by the Corinthia Palace in Attard.
The organisation is a Belgian one and is called: 'Beyond the moon'. What are the odds?
This friday the fundraiser is being held, this will be in the hotel where I work.
This will also be a great way for my class to get to know the hotel, because their getting a tour around the hotel.

BeantwoordenVerwijderenWaarschijnlijk dachten jullie; waar blijft die Van Beeck toch met haar tekstjes? Maar zoals jullie weten ben ik niet echt een waauw-wonder met computers. But with a little help is die account dan toch gelukt. Ik lees met stijgende belangstelling jullie berichten. Ik heb hier aan de thuisblijvers ook al het één en ander uit de doeken gedaan. Ik bewonder jullie inzet en doorzettingsvermogen hoor! Het is toch een heel avontuur, wat zullen jullie na die vier weken veel te vertellen hebben. Ik hoop uit de grond van mijn hart dat alle stageplaatsen voldoening geven. En Ashley, neem inderdaad het aanbod aan, it is an offer you cannot refuse!

BeantwoordenVerwijderenI was glad to hear that you lucked out with your work placement. Congrats to you, to be the first one to have received a job offer. Here at PIVA we have obviously known for a long time what a talented and dynamic individual you are!
My apologies for the delay in giving you guys any sign of life but I have had to call on the help of Ms. Joossen to get me signed on to you blogspot. It is well-known fact by now that I am by no means a computer wizz.
I hope Charis is doing well, or as well as can be expected under the circumstances. Looking forward to reading the upcoming blogs.
